A temple to the medicinal landscape of the magical Mojave Desert and the rich creative culture of Joshua Tree
Large windows fill the home with beautiful natural light. Sage, palo santo, prayer candles, and carefully chosen crystals and stones keep the energy clean and bright. Intentionally designed to relax and uplift using organic elements, the space inpires optimal decompression and cultivates creativity, community, simplicity and connection to the land. We use 100% recycled paper products and chemical free natural cleaning products. Water use and waste are minimized to conserve resources, and electricity runs on 100% solar power.
With a wide-view of the desert and a comfortable seating area, the living room features a ready made work space with wifi and speaker system. A memory foam platform bed pulls out of the sofa for extra guests. There's lots of lounging space for gatherings around the fire complemented by a classic vinyl collection, library of books, and art supplies.
The cozy kitchen is equipped with an Italian gas range, farm sink, and working original wood stove. Teak floating shelves are stocked with local handmade ceramics and vintage glassware. The artisan hand-painted tile floor feels good under bare feet. You will also find high quality condiments, spices, and cookware, a Vita-Mix, and a Chemex pour over set up for fresh brewed, locally roasted, organic coffee as well as an organic tea selection.
Every corner is meant to inspire. The wall above is adorned with a painting palette that belonged to Jenn’s great grandmother, a poster from local venue, Pappy & Harriet’s, and curtains by textile designer friend, Brook Perdigon.
Wake up to a view of the rocky hills behind the house.
